Regional Manager's Speech

10:30, with great expection I attended the RM's Speech. As usual, far and wide, such speech did not spare any potential boredom. Appointed to this post, whose work is made up most of talking, it is a wonder that the Regional Manager is not a language master, not at least of his mother tongue.

Still with professional perseverance and attention, I came to understand the status quo of this company. The market is now growing, and still on a steady rise, though part of the business is losing money. I assume that is all what I have retrieved out of it. Authentic British accent, along with the word rate. I should really have learned English better. At least in listening comprehension.

Willi has just explained me a few abbreviations. There are simply too many of them. Me is definitely not what the RM is targeting, neither the 3 whispering behind me. One of them is unquestionably a humorous guy. See, when the District Manager asked the RM for his outlook on the future business growth in Asia, he replies decently to himself: I don't have the fuck!ng idea.

10:30, mit höher Erwartung habe ich den Vortrag des Regional Managers genommen. Wie üblich, im Großen und Ganzen, der Vortrag entbehrt keine Langweile. Es ist ehrlich ein Wunder, dass der RM, dessen tägliche Arbeit aus Rede besteht, kein Sprachmeister ist, nicht aber für seine Muttersprache.

Trotzdem habe ich mich bemüht, meine professionelle Ausdauer und Aufmerksamkeit beizubehalten. Nach dem Vortrag wirft jetzt etwa Licht in den gegenwärtigen Zustand dieser Firma. Der Absatzmarkt entwickelt sich, langsam aber sicher, obgleich Verlust teilweise vorhanden ist. Ich denke mir, dass das alles ist, was ich davon raus mache. Authentisch britischer Akzent, zusammen mit der Sprechgeschwindigkeit. Ich hätte das English besser lernen sollen. Zumindest im Bezug auf Hörverständnis.

Willi hat gerade mir einige Abkürzungen erklärt. Es gibt ja zahlreiche Abkürzungen da drin. Für mich richtet sich der Vortrag nicht, auch nicht die 3 Flüsternden hinter mir. Einer davon ist ohne Zweifel ein humorvoller Kerl. Hör mal, wenn der District Manager den RM fragte, wie die Entwicklung des Geschäftes in Asien aussehe, erwiderte er langsam vor sich hin: I don't have the fuck!ng idea.
